WWF ,the former World wrestling federation brand and the current World wrestling entertainment(WWE) both are the same promotional business. How?? Let me explain chronologically ...

As we all have known and get very excited to hear the very word " WWF ", The first thing that comes to our mind by this is World Wrestling Federation or a mixture of thrill, excitement, suspense, combat & violence. All these excites us and makes us feel lively and adventurous. World wrestling federation and World wrestling entertainment are anonymous as WWE.IT came into existence in 1952 and WWF came into existence in 1979. They preferred to give the name WWF in the initial stage, as they thought -it would sound much better and would associate more people together and let them be the part of it in terms of viewers and fan.and it would do justice when to the word "Federation".

Vince Macmahon

The story starts like this .. It was started by Vince Mc Mahon's Grandfather, Jess McMahon & Raymond "Toots" Mondt as the Capitol of Wrestling Corporation . National Wrestling Alliance Joined it later in the next year 1953. Basically , it was the Macmahon who enjoyed 70% of WWE's financial benefit and 96% voting power in the company. It reaching 14.4 million viewers in the U.S and broadcasting of it’s shows in 30 languages to more than 145 countries. Vince Macmahons is the chairman and his wife Linda Macmahon is the CEO. The Third Generation of the professional wrestling dynasty is representated by Macmahon's. It could be said it was their ancestral professional which they brought into recognition. Now it goes like ..The first fight broadcasted live in 1985, which was a great success and afterwards all fights scored hit and smash hit as the popularity was growing like fire in the masses.

Now , on the other end .. World Wildlife Fund was struggling in court since 1994 to get the initials "WWF" as they could have the same initials too. According to the government wildlife is of paramount importance to them but since the popularity of wrestling was going wild and wilder and people were religiously following and going after it crazily ; so whenever there was a case in the court for the initials WWF .. wrestling would win over it.

The main event was known as WrestleMania coz, people would go "Maniac" for it. So in the court both parties entered into an agreement that world wrestling federation would use "WWF" for limited use only. Limited means limited to a few and not many but as the popularity were high it was very difficult to limit the WWF as it was hindering the name of Wildlife and people used to recognize WWF by wrestling rather than Wildlife.

In the Later Stages ... as years passed by world wildlife federation committee became much more intense, they rushed to the court again but was succeeded in getting wwf.com and not WWF brand in the late 2001 but in 2002, May , Judge gave sentence in favor of wildlife and the logic given by him was that wildlife came into existence in 1961 whereas wrestling came in business in 1979. And world wrestling federation brand was given in 1952 .So, world wrestling changed its name as WWE (wwe.com) instead of WWF(wwf.com) .In May , 2002 World Wildlife won over wrestling federation, as it was found much before world federation.
Now,the question arises- is the transformed name of wwf to wwe carries any offbeat comments for its fans or is it really any matter for them? Because, the product is same. It won’t change.
